Folly Road Brewhouse

In September 2023 we celebrated the official opening of Folly Road Brewhouse in Devizes, Wiltshire.

The build started in 2022, with the state-of-the-art brew kit, provided by BrauKon in Germany, arriving over 14 days and 29 lorries in December.

Folly Road Brewhouse was designed and created in a way that considers sustainability credentials carefully throughout the whole brewery and brewing process, including:

• Natural refrigerant gases used in our advanced refrigeration technology
• Increased energy efficiency and reduced waste in the building by:
• Fitting the site with sensor controlled LEDs
• Installing a new lightweight roof providing excellent thermal properties and improved insulation, reducing energy demands to heat and cool the building
• The new roof design also allows for greater natural light - reducing the need for energy use in artificial light
• The use of solar panels
• Increased energy efficiency and reduced waste from the new brewing kit including:
• Highly insulated brewing kit
• Ultra-efficient steam generator that heats up in 7 minutes
• Small batch sizes brewed frequently allows for the use of recovered heat used to boil the wort, thus reducing the need for primary energy
• Latest technology to allow a reduced evaporation rate during the boil further reduces primary energy need
