6X gains World Beer Award for the second year running

World Beer Awards for Wadworth

Wiltshire based independent family brewer, Wadworth has received two World Beer Awards for 2018 for its beers 6X and Swordfish.

Swordfish was the national winner in the category of spirit flavoured beers.  This amber ale is famous for its unique flavour which includes the addition of Pusser’s Rum during the brewing process.

The ever popular Wadworth 6X received a World Beer Award for the second year running as it received Silver in the category of bitter up to 4.5% abv.

Speaking about the result, Chris Welham, CEO of Wadworth said, “We are absolutely delighted with our beers being recognised at the World Beer Awards.  This is testament to the dedication of our brewing team who do a really great job with our beers and in doing so provide beer lovers up and down the country with some of the best tipples around”.

The World Beer Awards are the global awards selecting the very best in all the international recognised styles.  They award and promote the world’s best beers to consumers and trade across the globe.
