WADWORTH WINS GOLD AT WORLD BEER AWARDS FOR 6X
6X picks up another two awards from the International Beer Challenge: bronze in in the ‘Ale’ category and a further bronze for Wadworth’s newest addition of gluten free beer, 6X Gold, in the ‘Speciality Beer’ category.
Wadworth, the Devizes-based pub operator and family brewer, is filling up its trophy cabinet collecting three beer awards this month alone including gold for 6X in the UK Bitter 4-5% category in the renowned World Beer Awards.
The brewery’s much-loved 6X beer picked up another two awards from the International Beer Challenge: bronze in in the ‘Ale’ category and a further bronze for Wadworth’s newest addition of gluten free beer, 6X Gold in the ‘Speciality Beer’ category.
This is testament to Wadworth’s famous 6X ale and its widely loved flavour. It is a well-rounded beer that’s copper in colour with a fruity, malty finish. 6X Gold is a hoppy and refreshing ale with sweet malt and spicy notes on the palate and a zesty citrus aroma and gluten free.
Chris Welham, CEO of Wadworth, said: “We are hugely proud of these accolades. 6X continues to be one of the most famous and well-loved ales from the south west of England, and we are honoured to have been recognised in these awards. 6X Gold is the newest addition to the Wadworth family, and we are thrilled with the success of the beer.”
