DEVIZES PUB CELEBRATES 450 YEARS TRADING THIS BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND

|   News

The White Bear, Devizes is hosting a weekend of celebrations as the pub has been serving the local community for a staggering 450 years.

Geoff and Fiona Talbot, Wadworth business partners at The White Bear, 33 Monday Market Street, Devizes will be celebrating their pub's 450th anniversary this weekend with events and serving a beer specially brewed in honour of the occasion.

Wadworth has created Talbots Tipple for the birthday party of the White Bear Inn that was originally known as The Talbot. Geoff and Fiona are very happy that their name features in the limited edition beer name, they found the link when taking over the pub back in 2012.

Fiona said "It was as if we were destined to take over the pub. Brewer Richard Burton has done an excellent job in producing eight firkins of Talbots Tipple Ale."

Geoff added "Come dressed in your best Vintage outfit on Saturday afternoon and receive a free pint of “Talbot Tipple”."

In addition to the special beer they have a jammed packed weekend of fun planned
