The Rose & Crown dates back to the 15th century and supports a thatched roof, wonderful old fireplaces, and a large garden that captures the sunset perfectly during the summer months.

It has a stellar reputation for serving great food along with an extensive selection of real ales and fine wines.

The pub is set within stunning acres of land owned by the Ernest Cook Trust, it's a popular destination for those who enjoy scenic walks. Dogs and muddy boots are welcome!

August 2012 introduces 3 boutique bed and breakfast rooms at the pub. We have converted the old cow shed at the back of the pub offering rooms in keeping with the rustic pub charm but with a little touch of modern luxury. All the bedrooms are furnished to the same high standard but as you might expect with a boutique bed and breakfast they do vary a little in size and aspect. It's the perfect environment in which to relax and unwind with the rolling views over the fields.

A bath, a luxury double shower, great views, wireless internet, docking Station, local produce Breakfast and a top quality bed, Tea and coffee making facilities and a TV with DVD.

Because of it's beautiful location the Rose & Crown is becoming increasingly popular as a wedding reception venue.
